Well, was a dissappointing weekend check. Got two fox, one in a pole set, between two trees, for wolverine. Apparently canines can climb. Also nothing like seeing a snow covered ball at the end of your snare and celebrating only to kick it uncovered and see it's ONLY a fox. The other one was in a ground cubby with a 330. Apparently it missled its way in, as it was suitcased. The other fox did their best to make it unsalvagable as all they left was the part in the trap and ate everything else. Had my pelvis set (White's suspended bait with 750s) robbed clean. Too much snow burried the traps and the wolverine was able to just come in and pull it down. And then had a few more premature celebrations as I noticed a few of my buckets in other locations had been fired. I couldn't see anything fromt he snow, just that the trap was fired. Then after celebrating, again, I was able to uncover just an empty set. Guess when on the ground they will dig when filled with snow. Doubt that one will be interested in a bucket any time soon.
3 weeks of soaking and 2 fox........blah.

OK, there were a couple guys on here that said they were going to do the run with the reindeer at Fur Rondy. Who really did it, and I want picture proof!

I have pictures but since it was all one big "failure" after I pre-celebrated, I have yet to give a rats arse to download them.
One thing to mention is the refusal I had of my leaning bucket set. Walked right up to it, just didn't want to go up. Wondering if maybe the leaning system isn't the way to go. I am using two cut poles (~5" thick) together and bucket at the top. I figured it wouldn't be an issue for them to climb, but apparently some don't like to. Then again, lots of rabbits and ptarmigan so maybe they aren't that hungry.

Top Jimmy-I got off work early on Friday to go downtown to sign up. Unfortunately, I was a couple hours too late. I went with my kid as spectators, and I have never seen so many people on 4th avenue. It was a zoo. I'm definitely signing up early next year. I have a lot of time to think up a costume idea.

I was suprised that it would be in the News back East.
No, I know you get newspapers. No need to get grumpy.

you were surprised?? Come on, after the TV show "Deadliest Catch" anything to do with the Bering sea and fishing makes the news.
Not grumpy, just wondered why you would post it, I mean WE'VE SEEN IT, and we are the ones that view your post.

steve- nah, sometimes I just wonder what the purpose of some of his posts are. If he would have started with a "wow, this was in our paper back east" and then had it, then I could have understood, but just to post it like its LATE BREAKING NEWS, I was kind of like "huh??" Speaking of beer, I want some. I don't think I can be "skunked" since I've precured a few Gulos this year. However, i can be embarassed and ridiculed by them....but not skunked.
