Somewhere around 15. I have a friend who gets 75 each year. But that still aient enough

Caught my first groundhog of the year a couple days ago. I've been playing around with some figure 4 traps for mice. Haven't quite got the hang of the figure 4s yet.

I have never caught a mouse but have tried with the traps. Oh and yesterday I snared a beaver on a slide. And It was snared by the tail.

Nice work on the beaver. How did the fur look?

It looked fine. I think the loup was big enough that his back feet caught it before he went through and then it sinched on the taileft. His fur wasn't ruined at all

haha. I make my own beaver lure and it works real good. After getting the casters ground up, my hands smelled like caster for about 2 days

How do you preserve yours? I've never messed with glands before this. I chopped them real fine into a paste, then added glycerine and sodium benzoate (about 3 small pinches). It's a nice thick paste that will squeeze through a squirt bottle. Ended up with almost 2 ounces.

I picked up several beaver hides from a guy who didn't feel like putting them up today. They're skinned but still need fleshing. Waiting for them to thaw. I have 4 potential new properties to trap this coming year, as well as some family land that is infested with bearers. I'm already looking for to next season.
