Just wondering if anyone could give any advice on how to properly dry beaver castor. I've been selling it green and making easy money but would like to try drying some and get a little more for it.

I hang it over a wire. I leave it for about 4 or 5 days, then put it into a paper bag and put it in the freezer to keep until I ship it to NAFA.

How much does temp and humidity factor into the process

It will lose some weight when dried, but most prefer it semi dry. It does depend on the environment conditions( temperature, wind flow, humidity etc.) as to how long it takes. Usually it will take a few to several days to semi dry where it is no longer wet/tacky to the touch. Also cleaning them properly helps or hastens the process as well.
