Hello All,

I am in New Hampshire and I just started a large vole trapping job.

Is it to late to start trapping voles?

Thanks

Chuck

Not at all. I've trapped them in the snow.

Its rarely too late for vole work as long as you have access to the runs to set and do trap maintenance. Snow cover can at times put a stop to good trapping conditions but other than that you are good to go. They dont hibernate and stay active year round even under the snow cover which you will see evidence of this after the snow melts in the spring.

I'll keep after moles until the ground no longer thaws too. There are always a few jobs that have traps in the ground all winter. December usually has frozen ground in the morning that thaws with the noon sun.
