I've about had it with these NFL players. My time in the Marines helped guarantee the right of Kaepernick and others to not stand during the National Anthem, but when they are on the field in their team uniform they are not representing themselves. Rather, they are representing the NFL and their individual teams to the world and all the young kids that idolize them.

If the NFL and team owners don't feel that insisting that all team members stand for the National Anthem, then they need to stop playing the National Anthem before each game and just kick the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) ball. I'm so feed up with this that should this keep going on, then I don't need to support the NFL or any of its teams. However, if the NFL and team owner's understand the significance of the National Anthem and require each player to stand, then I'll happily continue my support.

Should the NFL adopt this recommendation, any player that doesn't want to still stand for our Anthem can do so; however, this would create an automatic fine n the amount of their game day salary which would then be donated to foundations and charities like the Pat Tillman Foundation, Disable Veterans of America, and those charities that help service members that have been injured while serving.

To get this point across to the NFL and all other professional sports, I challenge everyone who agrees to post this on their feeds and let the NFL know that we "STAND UP FOR AMERICA" and challenge them to do the same.

Let me clarify my post, this isn't about a particular sport nor is it about any one individual in particular. Rather this post is about morals, principals and respect and how we make decisions based on them.

Like others on this forum, I've been contacted by an NFL team to provide wildlife control services. Should I be contacted in the future, I will have to make a decision on whether or not I want to respond due to something I never thought I'd have to consider. If things stay as they currently are, do I just swallow my pride and take the attitude that money in hand is better than nothing, or do I stand my ground and honor my personal and business beliefs and turn away what could literally turn into hundreds of thousands of dollars? So I find myself asking if there is a dollar amount that will make me take a job even if I don't want to. It's easy to say that you'll always follow your morals when the bank account is full and jobs are backlogged, but it is very difficult when that isn't the case, especially when you've got family depending on you.

Additionally, I am looking in to the future and asking myself what is allowable behavior for an employee and what isn't. While everyone keeps focusing on certain football players, when you look at the big picture you can see that this isn't such a simple issue as these individuals actions are influencing everyone that looks up to them. You can already see the writing on the wall that others will justify similar actions by claiming if this person can do it, then they can do it. In other words, more individuals will develop the belief that they are entitled to act any way they want and that there should be no consequences to their actions as it would be a violation of their freedom of speech than already feel this way. The issue here that is constantly overlooked is that when you represent someone else, you give up a portion of your personal rights whether you like it or not. I want to make sure that any future employee of mine understands this.

Should an employee have a problem with something in my company, then they need to come to me to address it - not the client. It's fine and acceptable for an employee or customer to have a personal belief or cause different from my own, but it is not acceptable to use my company to promote it. Employees need to respect me as the business owner and employer, just like I need to respect them as the employee. On the same hand, customers need to respect my business just as I need to respect them as a customer. But when the line is crossed, I need to protect my business and everyone needs to understand that.

Everything I just talked about comes back to morals, principals and respect for both the business itself and its employees. As business owners, we should be striving to develop these traits rather than doing the "take a chance and hope to get a good one" attitude. It's fine if an employee or customer has a different personal belief system than my own, but what isn't acceptable is when they try to impose their beliefs over my company's beliefs. When that happens, it is time for them to find another employer or business. None of us are perfect and I've made many mistakes along the way, but I've tried to learn from them and better myself. America is the same way. We haven't been perfect and we'll still make mistakes in the future, but if we don't learn from them and look at the root cause then there will never by any effective changes. Ultimately, it is up to us as wildlife control operators and business owners to make sure we are developing our industry and the individuals in it to represent our needs and interests. This is why when I say #STANDUPFORAMERCIA, I'm referring to much more than just our National Anthem, it is literally taking a stand for America, our business, our industry, and our future.

I agree with you Eric 100% and have the same thoughts and share the same ideals as you. I am fed up with the NFL at this point and some other groups that have such contempt and disgust for our country. I have chosen not to view any games that have teams with members that have acted in such a manner.

In fact I really wouldn't miss much if I didn't watch the occasional local team game that I do now.

I am sure they will get a lot of negative feed back and criticism over this from the general public. I think there are millions more out there that feel as we do and it will be revealed in the upcoming election.

These players have a golden spoon and still want to symbolically offend the country that allows them the opportunity to do what they do and make the money they are paid. They wouldn't be able to have these options if they weren't afforded the freedom that others paid the ultimate sacrifice to give them that right.

Stop watching games and they'll get in line quickly.

They don't care if you watch the game on the tube or not, they already got paid by the network.

They get paid based on viewership.nobody watches and next years contract, plus revenue of jerseys, hats, etc goes down.

If you don't hit their wallet they'll never listen.

Now Jamillah is doing it! (Mo State Rep) She was running around in Ferguson during the Whoop-De-Do with a pistol in her pocket!
