Hello. I recently purchased a herters 41 ax with the cross on the bottom. Does anyone know which model this is? I had a list of the 5 models but you know how that goes when your not organized. Thanks.

7 different models on the 41AX. could be the 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th model. Put a picture of the Pan on Ed.

Ed, with the step trigger and no Hudson Bay on the Pan, I believe it is the 5th Model on the pan. The 6th and 7th models I think they put the Hudson Bay back on the pan, but don't quote me on that.

I found this paper work on the Herters Bear traps, You were right Bruce , fifth model .

Ed, on the 6th and 7th models they put Hudson Bay Back on the pan. both the 5th and 6th have the step down dog, as well as the 7th model, but the 7th model has very weak springs
