I am dealing with a large log mansion and it has Garter snakes constantly finding snake skins wedged in different places (10 -20 per year), and the ouners are petrified of any snakes. I have re chinked all logs up to 5 ft, I have wired and foamed all corners inside and out and from under the building. I am considering dozens of glue boards any other ideas? thanks in advance.

Some will wait for what they want, But this is much more slicker, WORK REAL HARD for what you want, and you will get it much more QUICKER ...

Snakes are SUPERB climbers, 5' up may not get it. They're hanging around for a food source, consider doing a big Mouse/Bug round-up. Sounds like the place is empty most of the time, a repeating trap or the classic bucket trap should work.

What sort of structures surround the house? Do they have firewood stacked or unstacked anywhere near the house? Yes, their food source is an important consideration, but where they dwell plays a larger role here. Removing the structures where they inhabit is the first step. Garters love wood piles. I catch them all summer long.
