Hello,
First time on this forum. When my wife was in the Army, I did a little shopping and picked up a few old european traps along the way. One is is very different in the way it is a buzzard trap. Many years ago, you could trap hawks, buzzards and other birds of pray in Germany. This is the only one I ever saw and according to others over there, it was a very rare trap. But who knows. It has a wire basket under the trap it is to hold a pigeon or other type of bird. The buzzard lands on the pan and it is all over. The trap stands 19 inches tall with the jaws closed and 12 inches tall with the jaws open and is 16 inches wide. The trap is round and is designed to sit on a fence post. if anyone has any info or a possible price for what it might be worth, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Joe, on the tool bar right above the reply box , the fifth icon from the left with the blue arrow. Click that and it will let you browse your computer for the images.

I looked up goshawk trap and no, it is not one of those. This trap has steel jaws that are made to kill the bird of prey. Very unique trap. Although the cage on the bottom is designed the same way as that trap is.

Sounds more like a predator bird trap than a scavenger bird trap?? That's my 2 cents anyways pics would be very helpful.

In Europe, a buzzard is a hawk, not a vulture.
