I have a few questions, mainly relating to the same principles - Professional Appearance and Advertising

1.) What kind of signage do you run on your NWC/ADC rig?
- I like the idea of the vinyl wraps, but haven't found a company that provides what I am after. Are there cons to this type of advertising/signage, besides cost. I assume this is much more expensive than a magnet type sign.

2.) Where would you recommend sourcing the type of signage that you prefer?

3.) Where do you source your ADC/NWC uniforms, if you use them?

Below are some pictures of the type of advertising/signage that I like. I hope nobody minds me using their rig as an example, if you see it here.

Thanks for your input, in advance.

Guess it depends on you, my truck has business name & numbers on sides and tailgate, with a picture of a small raccoon & squirrel on each side of lettering. Maybe to much on wraps, by the time you look at all the pictures, either the traffic light changes or you forget what it said. As far as uniforms, never, just shirts & jackets with logo and clean appearance works.

Thanks for the input, trapdye.

I guess I didn't convey my thoughts very well, regarding "uniforms". I wasn't thinking of anything super regimented, just my logo on shirts, jackets and caps. What is a good source for that sort of attire?

Also, what kind of lettering did you get for your pickup, where did you get it, and what sort of cost am I looking at?

I found it easy to deal local for shirts, jackets & caps. Bought online one time & was not happy with quality & fit. as far as truck lettering, you can go real cheap or get into the very expensive stuff, my first truck cost me, years ago, 175.00 for lettering both sides & tailgate, my new truck for the same setup 900.00. Is it worth it, don't know, may be better off investing in some advertising, new tools or traps.

I'm not a photographer but here ya go

Real simple. Cost $280 for the truck, three sides
Shirts $170. 14 shirts with silkscreen
Shirts are 10 in the yellow as you see. And four. Are tan with yellow lettering

Any lettering under about 4" high on a truck is pretty much wasted. You need to prominently display: your business name, phone #, and URL (website address). Attention-grabbing photos/ graphics are nice, but follow the 60/60 rule: can people read it from 60' away at 60 mph?
Many operators get too fancy and ruin the effect:enabling folks on the roads to remember you and contact you.
It does you no good whatsoever if the other drivers say "Cool truck! Who was that?" It might even hurt you, because in doing a web search, they might go to your competition. They HAVE TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE in a glimpse.

Thanks for the input. And Michigan, thanks for the pictures. I like what you have on your rig and shirts. Simple, professional, clean, and representative. I may have been thinking a little to extravagantly. All of the feedback has been usefull.

Dave s. That's why the simple logo with a easy to remember name

I have so many people just say the name of my company and say how they like it and it's easy to remember

All they have to do in my area is type the name of my company and there it is Website right in front of them

I don't run anything big, 90 percent nuisance beaver, and only work out of a boat. Don't even have a name, but evenings and weekends am out and about. I figured simple and effective would work for my 17 foot welded aluminum. Being seen driving by in a another boat was my goal. Plus the letters were free.
