I'm sure this was pretty common at some point but how common or uncommon is this pamphlet?

It is 12 pages and is pretty cool. I could not find a date but based on the traps pictured I'm going to guess in the 1960's. Does anyone know anything else about this?

Zip codes started in July 1963 and were mandatory by 1967. That should help a bit in dating your item. smile

Good catch on the zip code; therefore, it has to be from the mid 60's or later.

I found this on the U.S. Dept. of the Interior web site. https://www.fws.gov/news/Historic/NewsReleases/1965/19650322.pdf

FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE Guinan - 343-5634
For Release MARCH 22, 1965
NEWS NOTES FROM THE FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE
Trapping Tips Available
Washington, D. C.: The Department of the Interior's Fish and Wildlife
Service says American youngsters are showing a growing interest in one of man's
earliest accomplishments --trapping small wild animals.
A 12-page "Conservation Note," entitled, "Trapping Tips for Young Trappers,"
has just been published and is available free by writing to the Information
Office, Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of the Interior, Washington, D. C.

1965 is when it was first put out, who knows how long it was available or when yours was printed.

Great research snakecollector! I was born in September 1965 so I will go with that. If you had to request it back then I doubt very many were sent out.
