It's funny how squirrels care not for their dead brethren or those in a trap. They are put on alarm with vocalizations though. A dead squirrel, no problem. Their sibling pacing back and forth in a cage, no problem. But let one put out an alarm squeal and every squirrel within hearing stops on a dime and surveys the area for danger.

And yes, you need a second, third and forth trap. Rodents live in groups. It's best to trap them accordingly.
