Got a call 50 miles away. Lady saw a snake, threw a brick at it, brick hit it in the head and stunned it for a while, then snake went under the house. Now her concern is that there may be more under there. I quoted $150 to come search under the house to make sure all is well. She accepted. As I arrived, I knew I wasn't getting under the house as the "3 feet" of space to enter was actually about 10 inches tall and about 18 inches wide. No way I'm gonna pour my self through that! So all I could do was check through each little opening around the house to see if I could spot anything. I did not see any snakes, or snake poop or any other signs that snakes were living under the house. I did however, notice cypress knees about to push into the floor rom the bottom. That's gonna be a future problem as the only way to get to them is a long pole saw or cut a hole in the floor. Now that the under house inspection was done, I took a good look around the yard. The grass and poison ivy was over 5 feet tall un the back and there was a huge oak tree that had been depositing leaves in the yard for many years covering old lengths of pipe, piles of fence boards, general junk, unused dog houses, etc.. On the side of the house was an old slab about 10 foot long and about 6 foot wide with large voids eroded into the ground under it and more debris piled up giving more places to hide. Now I knew why she had snakes, but had to figure out how to tell them to clean up the yard and cut the grass without upsetting them. I was gentle and understanding and kind and they know what they need to do . I just don't think they will do it before they call me back out again. crazy

I do it all the time. Usually it's for insect related issues, but firewood next to the house with a mouse issue gets it too.

A snake lead usually turns into a mouse sealup job.
