The nice thing about using square hardwood pins is that you can cut through them in the future if you want to add a window or door .

Lots of work. You're doing a good job !

As a builder I also spotted that right away. But I figured it's already done and he must have had a reason for doing it so I didn't say anything. Having to cut the plywood with a chainsaw would be a good reason!

When you sheet the roof, I would certainly stagger the sheeting even if a chainsaw is all you have.
It looks like a great place to get away to. Good for you!

Made a little more progress this weekend.

Got a few more courses of logs up and started on the second story.

Got the 26 ft cross beam up. That was a Backbreaker but I managed to wrestle it up there also got all but one floor joists put up and fitted.

Good thread, nice looking camp going up.The squared off logs on the inside will make it easy to insulate and finish the inside if you choose.

Will you have a dry camp when the first snow hits the ground?

That's what I'm hoping for should have a roof on in a few weeks. Then I can put the wood stove in and work on the inside when it gets cold.
