I'm thinking winter is just about spent. I don't see much ice fishing left. The lake barely froze over and we will be hitting 40s again. Sigh.... But the heating bill has been nice!

No snow, no ice, lots of acorns. Sounds like it could be a slammin year for squirrels and skunks. Not to mention easy living for the deer herd. But, it's not over yet, still two months to get some bad weather.

Even if we get hammered now, there is still plenty of fat on the animals as food was never hard to find. I'm thinking lots of young and lots of insects. It should be a slammin' year! Too much young could lead to a population crash though.
