What are your guys tricks for moving a ladder this size either extended along a house or to move from place to place. Since my divorce my son won't work with me now so I have to do most of it alone and its becoming very difficult

They make ladder hooks with wheels on backside.

If you find an easier way except man power assistance Mike you let us all know. At 65 those ladders get longer and heavier every time I use them. An aluminum 250# rated 32ft ladder is all I want to handle myself and it is getting to the point I only want to use a 28ft.

I got a 32 foot 250 rated but I added levelers to it so its extra bottom heavy!

We have a policy that anything over 28 foot ladder requires 2 people. The other option is a lift....

I'm loving my 28' though I still need the 32 and even a 40' some times. Would prefer a lift but often no way to use one in the terrain and topography I have. The 28 is getting many of the places I need and keeping that heavier handling to a minimum.

Only a couple of years behind you, Bob, but came to the same conclusion. I check for overhead obstructions and prefer to carry/balance the ladders upright as long as the wind isn't kicking up too bad. Being vertically challenged does give me fits loading and unloading ladders from the the truck rack at times.

I have a 28 foot fiberglass and that is plenty for this big man...when moving from spot to spot i carry vertical after looking over ground and high possible obstructions

I carry vertically. I also use a 20 ft whenever possible.

Strengthening my core really helped me in carrying them.

At least Mike made me realize why I stayed married all these many, many. many years. It was so my son could move the heavy ladders.
