Anyone on here rehydrate there tanned fur and re
Shape and brush it? The ones I got tanned are really balled
Up from shipping?

If I did I would spray a little water at a time w/ a spray bottle , if you soak it the hair can slip. I've seen it happen a lot. We dance with tanned fur on the rez and if the fur gets too wet the fur can slip.

They have hide softening oils available from many of the tanning supply companies or Neatsfoot oil will suffice at times worked into the leather.

Knobloch's Company is a tanning and taxidermy supply company that sells a product called Liqua-Soft". It rehydrates the leather then you must work it in and break it as you work it to achieve the suppleness quality that you want. Thicker hides need more work or working it with a sander like an orbital type sander over the leather side to help with the process."
