Paul as you know Illinois has laws that does not allow the nuisance trapper to use any part of the animal....in my eyes a real waste.

And there is absolutely no sense to those laws what so ever. Kind of sad for a country that asks you to recycle.

What Jim & Justin said. I cannot recall a DIY trapping job that was done legally. Ever.

Dave, that's because of stupid laws, not just stupid people. It is darn near impossible for homeowners to break the law in Wisconsin.

The only exception would be not removing the captive animal soon enough and that problem usually gets some assistance from a nosey

neighbor who calls the cops the minute the door goes down. Now you would think that our liberal laws would cost us customers but that

is not the case. We usually get the customer, his animal, and a brand new Havahart to boot!

Same out here, ANYONE who traps, even just a cage on their property is supposed to get a permanent trap tag number to identify ownership.

If you trap on your own property you don't need any identification on your trap. ( Which makes sense since it's your land ) If you

ADC or fur trap, you need your name, address, and phone number on each trap or cage. ( We gave up the number system years ago )

One golf course has caught 14 skunks so far this summer. Have at it. I don't have to bait or reset. Counts up after a while and only takes a minute to swing in and transfer.
