When do groundhogs start hibernating in New Hampshire?

I have two groundhog jobs going and I think it is time to pull the traps.

Thanks

Chuck

As long as they can take in more energy than they use they'll be active.

The weather is supposed to get at least 10 degrees warmer here which will probably get them going again.

We have feeding activity off and on all winter until its steady cold here. If no snow cover and temps warm into the upper 40's they are out foraging.

I'll usually whack a few in coon conis during trapping season here in some odd places, the way the weather is this year and the long range forecasts I would be surprised to see groundhogs in December or later this year.
