I set mine with my hands. Seem to be easier than with the setters.

Coyote snarer's idea is easier to make from old muskrat stretchers. Just cut off the right lenght and bend it over. I use wooden dowel for handle and wrap it with duct tape....jk Ps I have more trouble with some of the smaller sizes than the 330.

I like tongs, they help keep your hands dry when removing wet beaver and help keep the stink off when removing skunk. With tongs you can take skunks out of a trap and never have to touch it. Setting empty traps isn't a big deal.
