I have some #4 Newhouses with the same symbol stamped on the jaw faces. Believe they called them "Texas Specials".

Maybe it's the mark of the foundry that was casting parts for ATC at the time.....

Dale, I believe it is a casting or foundry mark. I have seen it on ATC #50 jaw posts,#4 Texas special and #14 Oneida Jump jaw faces, swivels and setting clamps.
