That mole looks like the same color as a couple of my red raccoons. They weren't albino, they were the raccoon's answer to Rita

Hayworth. The definition of albino is white skin, white hair, and pink eyes. I have never caught an albino raccoon but I had a friend

who had a big albino male that he used for breeding. That was the coolest raccoon I've ever seen. I have caught an albino opossum,

grey squirrel, and chipmunk. Yesterday, one of our technicians caught one of the whitest opossums I've ever seen; but no pink eyes,

so not an albino. I have caught a couple of blond raccoons with pink eyes, but I don't think they qualify as true albino either.

Great catch, Boco! I know just the taxidermist for that guy. He could make him look twice as large and even put racing stripes on him if you wanted.

That article is absolute bull sh????, i have just picked up 3 from the taxidermist that i caught last winter, i have caught 9 in the last 5 yrs, and i certainly have not caught 90000 moles in that time, if i had my address would be a bit different.
I know they are not common but that is a load of tosh.

I got him mounted Paul, without the racing stripes, lol.
I don't think albino muskrats are all that uncommon either.

Brian, relax man and count yourself lucky. I know a lot of guys that have caught and hunted raccoons with hounds. Some of these guys

have probably taken 3 times as many as I have and have never got a blond raccoon. I have caught over a hundred blond raccoons and I

have no idea why I've been so fortunate. We probably catch 1200 raccoons a year and most of our guys have never caught a blond one. I

like to think that it's my stunning personality because everybody knows blonds like to have more fun!

I've never caught a pure white mole, but have caught a few blonds. Caught these three gophers one day just a few feet apart from each other, a normal, albino, and melanistic(black) gopher.

I've caught many coloured moles. Whites, silvers and cinnemon coloured ones. If you catch alot of moles then you're bound to get a few funny ones. I generally get three or four a year.
