Don't have a pp presentation but I did have an opportunity to give a little informal presentation at a Realty office's weekly meeting this spring. It might have been my most successful form of advertising. I have gotten so much work from that one meeting. If things ever slow down I am going to try and do more of this.

I just handed out a few brochures and cards, talked, and answered a few questions. Nothing polished or practiced.

I have talked to a couple real estate companies, and my cards never get passed out, and the info doesn't get passed forward. I was told thes3 meetings usually have about 200 reactors that I directly talk with.

I want the PowerPoint because the give you an hour and a half block of time, ways to much in my opinion.

Throw Back, the reason you think that an hour and half is too much, is because you've never heard me talk.

Paul, the reason I think an hour and a half is too much, is because I have tried to read half of what you have to say!

I can do it, and get excited, I just dont know how many realtors are interested in raccoon poop and moles.

I have a complete PP presentation but it's strictly on Gophers and Moles and would require me putting it on a cd and mailing it to you. You could then customize the slides with your own personal data. I think the number of slides with high def pics would be too large to zip and email. Let me know what you need.

Aggie, check out a free program called dropbox. I use it to send 80 meg files.

And 1 1/2 hours is way to long. Ask them if they have someone in another industry that would like half that time.

The way to make time fly when you have an hour and a half is to get the audience involved. Sometimes, if your lucky, you can get a

couple audience members arguing with each other and that can be really entertaining.

My power points are geared for the training of wildlife control folks so they won't help you much with that group. Just remember this!!!! the person that is selling the house does not want you!!!! the one buying the house will want you!!! gear your talk to the buyer mindset. show them that they need you. don't get to in depth just show you know what you are talking about. and remember the saying when giving talks. impress with knowledge if that doesn't work dazzle with BS!!!!!!

Well I hate to disagree with Ron ( That's a lie; I love to disagree with everybody ) but we are doing a woodchuck removal for a guy

across the street that wants to sell his house and he is one of many. The first thing a realtor will tell you is to get rid of all

obvious pests. ( This explains why there are so many divorces ) I will agree with Ron that I am really good at dazzling with BS!

In my line of work, Power point presentations are heavily used by many.
I am not a big fan of the Power point. I consider it a crutch for a lazy, meek, or otherwise unprepared speaker.
I would much rather hear from a well informed, engaging speaker who does not even have any notes.
This speaker will own the audience. Don't be afraid to inject some tasteful humor, and as mentioned above, get the audience dierectly involved in the conversation.

52carl I just started using power points maybe 3 years ago. I have been speaking on wildlife control since 88 or so. If a person knows the content it doesn't matter if they use a powerpoint or work from a outline. The powerpoint is just a focus point to keep me going on a steady course so I am not bouncing around and going off on rabbit RUNS. and gives folks something to see so they can understand what is obvious. I just gave a talk to a group that was around 300. most of the folks wanted to be there others was there for there re certification and could care less. in this case here the power point keep some of those awake and focused LOL they liked the pic of the squirrels playing dead LOL that's what I told them the squirrels was doing anyway. The point is when talking to realtors most may not even care about what the speaker is saying in today's world the power point is the make or break for most folks. I can give my 2 to 3 hour squirrel talk blindfolded and my other talks I can do the sneak a peek, but I will admit the power points are faster in presentation so I don't bore folks like Paul.

Power points definitely have their place. I find them useful when I don't have time to do all of my homework on the subject.
