Does that provide commercial vehicle insurance too? Will probably give them a call.

_fletch_,

West Bend is the underwriter for Bob & Son's just like Aegis is the underwriter for the NWCOA insurance. You'll need to go through an agent as most underwriters don't have a "set" policy but instead have the agents create policies from a list of "covered" activities/situations.

For the policies I posted it was strictly for general liability, no errors & omissions, professional liability, auto, or equipment coverage. I'd have your agent breakdown your policy and you'll probably see that the GL portion is around $400-$500. I'll never tell someone not to get a second quote and Bob & Son's is licensed to write policies in KY so I'd give them a call. Have them quote everything you currently have to see if they are cheaper, same, or more expensive and have them break it down as well so you can see if they are cheaper in one of the areas so you may want to get the better deal from the one agent on one part but then use the other agent for the other parts (i.e., GL insurance 2 mill policy may be like $430 from one while the other is charging $600 for a 1 mill policy).

Thanks Eric, I'll check into it. Off topic, but am looking forward to your short course on Bats next month...

So am I. We're almost full so it will be a fun class with everyone that is attending. Insurance is a good question so remind me if I forget to touch on it as you may need more than basic general liability based on the policy and what services are offering/performed.
Wow, that's much cheaper than the quote I got from West Bend, for just me, no employees, 1 million and coverage for truck/traps/tools. But I went through a local agent, and they may be jacking it up quite a bit. My quote was $1350 a year. I probably need to call them direct, and cut out the middle man.
My insurance through Bob & Son's is West Bend. Your rate will depend on your revenue.

depending on your operation....would you want to be quoted based on your revenue....or number of employees?

Anyway, I'm so glad to hear everyone being insured.

Dave, the only way I would win that one is if it were based on net revenue. This has been a great year for spending money; saving it:

NOT SO MUCH!

I'm just starting up, and part timing it right now, so my revenue was a projection and was really low. So, my next question would be, do you all cover your vehicles under your commercial policy? I didn't want to risk having stuff stolen and not being covered for it...

If you logo your vehicle and / or carry ladders it is a good idea to carry a commercial vehicle policy.
