Can anyone tell me how to catch a mole using this trap? I have lots of them laying around but don't know how to use them

Thanks
Paytyn

Every day is a gift from GOD, don't waste it!!

If they have plenty of food, give them something interesting to smell

Hey thanks a ton sir! I've had them for awhile and just got hired to catch some moles. I usually don't do ADC work but I'm getting paid so I'll try it

Thanks
Paytyn

I've got a few of them on a shelf, but haven't put them in the ground yet. I picked them up to cover me when I was short on traps. Creative schedule shuffling got me through the pinch. They're supposed to be great traps. I like the traps completely underground.

The traps completely under ground are good and i am good with them however i am running 50 plus mole stops a week...i just dont have that much time to spend checking each trap by reopening hole..the out of sight is a quick look as i walk by

Have you found that the OOS trip hard if in the ground very long or after a rain? I filed the pan down at the 90 degree up turn to shorten the action. Only thing bad, you do not know if they be dug under are gone around them.

I don't think I would tell the guy who is paying you to do this you don't even know how to set the trap, might not be confidence inspiring...

I rarely set the same tunnel on multiple visits. If they don't travel it in a week. They aren't using the tunnel anymore. I do weekly visits though. If you are checking every day it's a different story.

On a new set up I like to check the set in 3 to 4 days, after that 4 to 5. A lot depends on the run and how clean and smooth it is. If dry and has grass roots in it. Out after the first check.

Fresh cracks are your best clues...look for cracks continuing thru the trap...then pull the oos slowly out of the ground without setting off the trap and then push dirt down with your finger...if he went thru you will drop into the tunnel

I do offer mole trapping instruction to anyone over 60 miles away or more from me
