How long do you run you programs? A week, a month? How many times a week do you check them? I am being pushed into a job.

What kind of traps, I dont really want to use poisons.

Any tips, tricks or anything cool?

Glad you asked. We have been favoring the T-rex because it can be utilized with some bait boxes and seems to work well. Now the guys

are telling me that if they are accidentally bumped ( dry fired ) they break and you have to toss 'em out. They're too darned

expensive to break before they've caught a single animal. Anybody else having this problem? We are also having a lot of Protecto bait

boxes chewed into by rodents this year. Bell Labs makes a fortune from us and we need to have a little discussion about their product

quality. As far as trapping programs for rodents, a week or 10 days usually takes care of it. Don't be shy with the number of traps.

( Poisons are still the best bet )

I got Kness mouse traps for the house. First catch right behind the ears. I have dry fired one 20-30 times playing with it, seems to work fine. Got them off amazon, 4 pk 9.00 and change free shipping w/prime. They also make rat traps.

We try to sell a yearly program. Four visits , the first interior/exterior followed by three exterior only re bait.
We use poison in tamper resistant bait boxes.
It's a great business because mice are very easy to control ( the people that pay for a yearly program aren't the ones with trash laying around )+ we can schedule a visit or two during the winter slow down.
It is amazing how many people will spend a lot of money to protect their home for a year.

I'm a really bad business man - Left on my own I would probably fix the problem one time then move on. Figuring that I did a great job. But there is a lot of repeat revenue to be had.

Dave, it's not our fault. It says right on the label; "Kills Norway rats and house mice." They started it. Which leads me to this

question: If a poison is strong enough to kill something as large as a Norway rat in one feeding, wouldn't it also kill every

chipmunk, vole, or other small mammal that feeds on it, even if it's not approved for that species?

I hear you Winkie. Because the manufacturer didn't pay to get the label approved for those species.

rats - are smart, stink longer when dead, hoard rodenticide.

What traps do recommend for barn rats or roof rats? I've seen the hoarding going on with barn rats.

Vprt's for rats, just be sure to tie them off, and for the money you can't beat it imo.

Where's a good place to buy plastic pan victors? I bought some metal trigger victors for .53 @ Home Depot. WCS doesn't count because they don't accept personal checks. Thank you for the pics. If you catch a monster rat, make sure to throw a penny down to give it some scale when you take a picture. The current record is only 12 in. main body.

Order them at home depot and pay there. Then you can have them shipped to your house or store.

I think we bought both styles from Pest Management Supply in Chicago. They must have been cheap because I am.
