I'm reposting this from the trapping forum:

"At 5:30 Sunday morning June 21 my wife Deb's heart stopped because of complications and injuries from her March 8 car accident. She fought a courageous battle but she was simply too badly injured. We deeply apppreciate the tremendous support and prayers from the trapping community, and I want you all to know that she was overwhelmed by the hundreds of cards and read them over and over.

Services will be at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville, Maine (207-873-3393). Viewing is 5-7 pm Friday, June 26, and services are 1-3 Saturday, June 27. Reception at 4 pm at the Carrabassett Mason Hall #161, 21 Oak Pond Road, Canaan, ME (on the corner of Rt.2 and the Oak Pond Road.)

Everybody who met Deb loved her. She was one of the most alive and beautiful people I have ever met, and her light is shining on others now."

Bob

Once again I am at a lose for words. I'd met Deb on several occasions and Bob was right on in his description. She always had her "A

game" going and was as personable as anyone I've ever met. My condolences to the Noonan family.

Absolutely heart breaking and unexpected after what appeared would be a long but steady recovery. We often did dinner at the conventions with Bob and Deb. She was truly vibrant, full of life and an joy to be around. Everyone will miss her greatly. No words can describe the sadness.

Had a nice visit with Bob at the PTA convention last weekend. We have a lot of history together over the years. He traveled and flew to meet me on my lines for coyote, beaver and bobcat trapping over the last 25 years to write articles. A great man in many respects and a good friend.

He was telling me how determined his wife had been battling back from her injuries going thru her rehab sessions. That was Saturday. Sunday she passed away. Goes to show all of us how precious and unpredictable life can be for any of us.

Bob and Deb have built a lasting impression and left some big tracks for all of us to follow in our industry. Her contributions and memory will live on thru us as time marches on.

O, Bob, I'm so sorry...can't say I knew Deb but probably met her at the FTA(NTA?) national powwow in, what, 2012?....and anybody who was closely associated with Bob (or, as we call him, Bawb) was a fine person indeed.
Prayers and sympathy for you Bob.

I'm probably a little touchy on the subject about now. You r gona hear a lot of sorry but not as sorry as you I suppose. Maybe some advice from my corner can help. She was always happy and upbeat? You played a major part in that from how it sounds. Instead of talking about how terrible this event is, (which I understand) when people stop you on the street, talk about the good times. Understand that you were a good husband to her, and that you have no regrets about your life with her. It really helped when my son took his trip to the other side last month. Pretty soon you don't feel like you are walking through quicksand, and you can move through the day in a pretty normal way.

Things got back to normal much faster than I ever thought possible. It still seems almost wrong, but I'll take it. I wish you luck, and God bless.

I have been away from the forums for a while. I do not know Bob or Deb, but from the comments I have read, they both sound like wonderful people. Bob, I am so sorry for your loss , you and your family will be in my prayers. I hope that you all can find peace in this tragedy, knowing that she no longer has to fight for her life, and that she is ultimately in a better place.
