Hello All,

Is it best to prebait snap traps for flyers? (job is a house attic)

Thanks

Chuck

We never pre-bait cages for flyers so I can't imagine an advantage to pre-baiting snap traps. I like to catch all my animals with an

empty stomach. ( Not my stomach, theirs )

We do flying squirrel work much like bat work. Except we use a colony trap over the entries primary and secondary points and a structure seal instead of an eviction as with bat work. Never had to use snap traps or cages in an attic for removal.

For one trapped or frequenting in a room or basement yes.

As others have mentioned an exclusion cone will work. But they don't resist a rat snap with peanut butter.

I find fliers to be very location specific even with snaps. The traps have to be on travel routes and, choke points and latrines.
