Anybody use these?I'm looking over the differen dogless traps available. Was thinking of their #2s for my yote/fox line.I like pan size. How is the spring strength?Thinking 2 coil is fine if springs are strong and last. How are they built in comparison with bridgers or montana traps.Trying to make a good choice without buying one of each for a side by side comparison.Just want opinions from guys who use them
thanks

Like the #3 and #4 a lot. Great feet ,zero losses . plenty strong two coiled for my needs.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

Can't speak for the #2s. But I love the #3s. I'm up to about 12 dozen of them. Check with Andy W. About the 2s. I'm pretty sure he was running a bunch and I'm sure If he did, they saw plenty of critters

Everyone I talked to didn't have issue. Boils down to personal preference. I am a square jaw guy but wouldn't hesitate to run these if no other option.

I would get the #3s

They are COYOTES! Not "coy-wolf" not "coyote-wolf hybrid".
Just plain old coyote

The #2's work fine but a little hard on the feet.

I bought some from yoteguts that he had modified and wish he would have sold me more. they are good traps. yoteguts does a great job on modifying traps, when you get them they are ready to set. Thanks for a great job yote. Rod

Your dukes look like victors you mean. These traps are just dog less victors. The 3s and 4s are the same and the #2 montys are dogless 1.75 victors .

I havent used screen yet will try some this year. I think pan tension is way over rated so I can't answer that. I just set them. Some out of the box, some waxed, some dyed. Feet are bottomed out on the pan most of the time

I was thinking the same thing. Only thing that's confuses me is the JCC baseplates for the #3 Monty are different than those for a #3 Victor.

I've used the #3 Vic FOJ (with lams) as a trap for either/or fox-yote set. No problems on the feet- Which was why i suggested the #3 (FOJ)

Live trap, he probably has them listed for the old Montgomery's . If you wanted to buy JC baseplates or lams the corresponding victor sizes would work.

Replaced #2 Montgomery jaws with a #2 Victor jaws, fit was better than the original Monty's came with.

The new #2 Monty's are going to be difficult to base plate as the frame is embossed down the center with a center link loop which is too small for my liking.A J hook won't fit through the center loop.I made a sterling type swivel.

I used a couple dozen of the Vic/Montgomery #2's last year. After I modified them to my liking they put quite a few coyotes, fox and cats in my truck.
