I need help identifying these and values on them. They are from a friends estate and his widow would like to sell them. Any help would be appreciated.

#1 is a large Gin type trap that is 22 inches long. It has "54" stamped on the spring.


#2 is a large underspring trap that is very well made. It has no marking that I could see.




#3 R&M Boker "Cast Steel" on spring


#4 Underspring Gin trap with a folding mount that looks like it attaches to a tree or post. "MF Manufacted Saint Etxxxxx"



#5 Hand Forged Double longspring with a unique eye on the end of the cross.




#6 Glovers "No. 6" trap is rough



#7 Gin trap "1" stamped on HEAVY brass dog

it seems hard to put a price on traps from overseas. Have to find that special buyer. I believe they are mostly german and english traps

The top one looks like a french fox trap 50-70$
the second one I think is a Grell fox trap 30-50$
The boker is German I believe and is a nice one
The fourth one is probably french and might be a pole trap
The fifth one might just be american
The last two traps are both english rabbit traps and are probably 10 and 20$ traps

I agree with Steve (Killer Collector) and Mike (Lots of mink). It's really hard for me to put a price on these traps because I don't collect many traps from other countries. One option might be is to go to American Trap Collectors and ask Coneyhunter. He's from England and knows a lot about these types of traps.

They were in the big wooden box right next to all the others. If they had teeth they would have bit you. It may be time for you to go see the optometrist.

I'd like to have those 2 undersprings. See if she is taking offers?

The first trap is a French ‘pallette’ trap of a typical type, likely made by Aurouze.
2nd trap is a jump trap, made in Germany, I would say that there is not much age to this trap.
3rd trap is also German, made by Boker for the International market
4th trap is a bird trap made by ManuFrance (St Etienne) and has a few parts missing
5th trap could be a British trap, but the bolted parts and forged chain eye tell me that this is more likely a US made handforged trap. The knuckle springs are also not typical of British traps.
6th trap is a 4 inch jaw rabbit gin trap model No.6R made by WR&F Glover. The condition is very poor, these traps are still common to find in UK
7th trap is a standard pressed steel spring gin trap made by J Collins in UK, minimal collector value
