My buddy sent me these pix this morn, after discussing at church yesterday.
He doesn't see this side of the house much,,,opposite the driveway, etc.
Any ideas? Rat-Woodchuck-squirrel???????

Who ever it is, needs to see a dentist. Those aren't teeth; they're serrated chisels!

Take this with a grain of salt. There were/are manufacturers using plastics that have corn/byproducts as part of their makeup. Products using those components have been known to attract rodents. I am familiar with farm machinary touting using farm comodoties as an ingredient in the production of their product as a selling point....farmer friendly, ya know. What they found out was wiring harnesses using this as a coating on the wires were actually attracting mice and costing the manufacturer a ton of money in warranty work.

Not sure that is the case in this particular situation, but first thing I would do is get rid of that splash guard and replace it.

I know it sounds goofy, but a JD certified mechanic told me the story.

Didn't look at your location....any woodchucks around?

Porcupines go after plastics for the salt too.

Any new information about this? I always like to hear how it turned out, or didn't.

If it were me, I'd consider concrete splash blocks and a dentist that does animals.

Jim said he's gonna let it ride and hopefully see the critter, to verify the small game biologists input...and eventually replace with concrete.

He does not want traps set.

Thanks. Curious about that myself. Sometimes seems to be interesting who answers the phone.

Like doctors, 25% of wildlife biologists graduate at the bottom of their class, but still put it on their business card.
