I know that S. Stanley Hawbaker established his business in 1938. What year did he publish his first catalog?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I believe the first catalog was 1940,The first one I ever came across was a 41-42. there may have been a brochure before that but I have never seen one.

I suppose the last catalog would have been for the 2013-2014 season as the business was sold last year. Is that correct?

If the one I posted being number 15 from 52/53 season would that mean the first one is fifteen years before? Or was there ones with split years like between Greencastle and fort Loudon

1952/1953 season would have been his 15th year in business.
