Has anyone ever tried putting a cinch trap right down the hole that the mole use to push the sand to the surface to make the mounds with. The trigger set back and has to move quite a ways to set the trap off. I know they will be pushing sand.

Never used those, but have tried Steve's mole traps that way with some success. Most of the time it is a miss since the mole is pushing a wad of dirt in front of itself. I find it much better to dig down to the main tunnel if possible.
