I kind of already know what to do, but though id ask. Got an attic full of flying squirrels. My place does has lots of attic spaces, and areas they can live, and right now, there is no way to keep them out. Its kind of a goofy situation, but I am selling my house eventually, moving out in the fall, and the new buyer wants his own siding on. Right now, there is energy shield foam board on it, and they simply chew through it and bam, are in the soffit. From there they go wherever, so blocking off the access is not easy here.

Best way to trap them all in a hurry? I have got them in 220s for fisher before, so I figure I will blind set some branches where they run to fly to the house with 110s on holders, and maybe a coni box with some beaver. (hey, they like it in the bush, why not?)

Advice?

If your going to be killing them, you can clean them up in
A hurry with a bunch of rat traps or #1 long springs
With peanut butter and sunflower seeds on the pan
In the attic

I tried the rat traps and paenut butter. I also shot seven of them with ratshot six months ago. I will try the rat traps again. I have a lot of ermine traps, so I will see about that..

Or a 110 cubby with peanut butter? they like beaver, but then what doesnt. lol

Hutchy, either your flyers are the size of Chihuahuas, or your Canadian 220 is a lot smaller than the ones I'm familiar with. Any flyer caught in a Coni is leaving this world on his own terms.

Rat raps. A 1 way with hopper on the exit will do it too.

If the buyer is replacing the siding, use hot pepper laced foam.
