After spending the entire day with all of our grandkids at different basketball games, my wife decided to come along and check a

couple of raccoon traps with me. We took the brand new pick-up because she had never ridden in it. As luck would have it, the

first trap held a nice sized male raccoon. We took it along and released it on the way home. Here is where the problem starts.

The raccoon ran under the truck but neither of us saw him come out. We drove a couple of miles to our house but before I put the

truck in the garage, I opened the hood. And out popped the missing raccoon. He ran back under the truck and I chased him out of

the engine compartment twice and then he disappeared. You have no idea how many places there are for a raccoon to hide under a

pick-up. I searched and searched and finally let the truck and raccoon outside. I did remove the keys from the ignition so he

couldn't drive back to where we caught him. Remind me to use the van next time.

One time a skunk got out and climbed onto the cab of my truck while I was in the store. Kinda drew a crowd, and that was the first skunk I ever scruffed.

Released a possum the other day. My wife then left the garage door open. We came home from dinner and noticed my ladder had fallen down. When I put the ladder back and looked up I saw the possum had climbed up the ladder and had crawled into on of my muskrat colony traps hanhing on the wall.

Tom, I hope that after you removed the opossum for the second time, you billed your wife for the proper amount.

It was after 5pm and you know how I hate late calls. So I billed her double.

we trapped and released a porcupine years ago. Had a brand new chev colorado 4x4. We had it in the back with a backflip hard tonneau cover. We opened it, flipped it all the way open, and instead of running out the back, off the tail gate when we stepped back, he climbed up the now open cover, scratched his way onto the roof of the truck, slid down the windshield, scampered down the hood, clawed his way to the ground, and took off.

It all mostly buffed out... cry
