Will a 9x9x26 12 ga. 1/2 x 1 work for raccoon? Our raccoons run to the small size. Could it also work for skunk?

I think Paul says he uses 7x8 for forced sets with coons. On the big side for skunks so would work well definitely. I use bigger for co on but am leaning toward downsizing

Kurt, if you can't get a coon in 9x9x26, it's probably a black bear anyway. You can get a couple of skunks at a time in one too.

If you want to know how big raccoons are, hose them down. They're about the size of cats. I've only caught 1 raccoon the weighed over

40 lb. (43) and the next day I caught a 36 pounder in the same cage. Both were city coons and I'm sure they worked at McDonalds.

Those are the two largest out of more than probably 30 thousand raccoons. The average raccoon probably weighs in the teens. I've

caught a bunch in 18 inch Comstocks accidentally.
