Dont really do rats, and this is why.

The local PC turned down a couple rodent jobs. I looked and listend, it appears the rats are practically in the floor, not in the house or under. How do you go about these situations.

Also when excluding, why do you use copper wool?

Find gaps and plug with copper?

Throw Back,

Get the book Rodent Control: A Practical Guide for Pest Management Professionals by Robert M. Corrigan. Bobby is considered one of the foremost experts with commensal rodents and this book will cut down your leaning curve immensely.

Steel wool will rust, copper will not. You can get Copper or SS scrub pads at any Dollar type store fairly cheap.

Copper Mesh is available here- http://www.wildlifecontrolsupplies.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=WCSLM01. Copper mesh imbedded with PUR BLACK Foam- http://www.wildlifecontrolsupplies.com/animal/NWS0601.html will solve many rat intrusion problems.

I like wood, brick, metal flashing or mortar,,,,ect,,,ect......

Any product that was designed to maintain appearance or was there/suppose to be there.....

I do use black foam with 1/4 mesh set in it for hard to reach areas,,black landscape foam is UV rated and bug resistant..
