That skunk is long dead. If the deck has an inside corner, that is most likely where he'll be, but could be anywhere. Take up a couple boards and look around. Won't be much left of him now, but the smell will linger. If you can scoop up the dirt underneith the carcass, that is where the odor is. As Paul said, temp goes up, smell goes up. Rainy days will bring it up too.

Could it be a dry pee trap in a shower or some drain some place. But you surely would know a skunk smell. Just a different look at it.

skunk could be outside and odor going thru vent or what paul getting there and brian said. This sounds like a job that you need to set some type of fee on to look for the odor. Your going to spend a lot of time on it and may not find the source. Maybe not a lot but our time is the most valuable thing you own. Unless it's someone you want to share it with they need to pay you.
