Found these traps at a small town store. Wondering what they are worth. The owner said he will take offers. this is a number 2 double long spring, original chain and looks average to me.

Number 1 single long spring all original with stamped spring looks real nice

What would be the top price for each of these traps. I have a few wall hangers and looking for a few more. I don't know my prices on Newhouse so any help would be appreciated. All I could get from the owner is he would like 100 for each trap.

Unless there is some special stamping on the springs, $100.00 each is way too much, in my opinion.

You don't indicate if the chain is present and original. Assuming it is, a fair retail price on the # 2 double long would be $20.00, $25.00 max - the clarity on the pan isn't the best. Fair retail price on the # 1 single long would be in the $25.00 range.

Some folks will probably disagree with me on value but both traps are fairly common, even though they were last made around 1925.

Wissmiss was more generous than I would have been. I would say $40-50 TOPS for the pair.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Thanks for the replys. They are not the easily found where I live. Looks like I'll have to look someplace else.

Wait a minute. How is my valuation more generous than yours?? Last time I checked $25.00 and $25.00 = $50.00.

Unless I'm missing something, it looks to me like we are pretty much on the same page.

Math was never my strong suit.
