Hello All,

A woman called and told me "she thinks that she may have a raccoon in her bedroom wall. The sound is like a bowling ball in the wall." I have dealt with raccoons in attics and out buildings but, never in walls.

If the wall is made of drywall won't the raccoon eventually make a hole in the drywall?

Thanks

Chuck

Not unless he has a utility knife, Usually they are either using the attic and getting to a wall chamber, or using the crawlspace and going up the wall, the raccoon is happy where he is, pay no mind to where he "is" trap him with his travel habits coming and going.

unless......you got a drywall guy and want to make some extra repair money, but by the time you cut it out, the raccoon is either went up or down the wall cavity, and your left with a nice hole in the drywall.

the inspection cams with the 8 inch led screens and cam on 4 feet of fibre optic cable come in handy sometimes like spring a small hole will let you look inside the the wall to see if said critter is removed or babies in wall to repair all you need is a little putty and paint raccoons in the wall can and will cause serious problems if left to long as they will pop all the screws/nails through the drywall as 6 inches of living space is cramped

$20.00 trap, a $1.00 stake, probably $1.00 in pan cover, bait, urine, and lure, Not to mention gas etc. All for a $10.00 coyote.Priceless!!!!!

My plan is to trap the animal at the entry/exist point. My fear was/is will the raccoon wear a hole in the plaster board? Will urine break down the plaster board? The answer is probably yes after 10 year time period.

You and Mike are right go to the envelope of the house and get him where he comes and goes. It's hard to stick a raccoon in a wall. If I believe an animal is stuck I attempt to lower a glue board on parachord down from the attic. If he doesn't get on the board he will climb the chord then you have a decision to make. I try to grab the tail of a squirrel and bang his head on the rafters. Make sure you put him in a container be cause before you can pick up your tools he will be ready to rumble. Snakes birds and squirrels it works pretty good. Our you could shoot him with a pellet pistol and glue trap him, frog gig, snake tong. Mcguiver him somehow with whats on your truck.
People are so happy when they thought the solution was going to be a wall cut and they have a little extra money to pay for your expertise.

Sleep'n with an animal..I can help.
Do not use both feet when testing the depth or temperature of the water

One more thing to do before I die...grab a squirrel by the tail and bang his head on the rafters. ( The last time I grabbed a

squirrel by the tail there was blood all over the place; and it wasn't the squirrels )
