Under certain situations, the goop products get hard and will actually cut the waders.

There is a product made by Laxrosse that will soak into neoprene waders and will stay pliable.

I finally gave up and pitched mine, but the Lacrosse products might be worth while to try. Keep us posted, I have sworn never to buy another pair. I went back to rubber waders myself after fixing the neoprenes for a day or two then having them fill up with water on the next go. I finished out a season with them then out they went, sure toughened me up though.lol

The product called Aqua- seal is the way to go. It works and stays supple. Made specifically for neoprene. If you have large holes....you can back them with some cotton and put the glue over that.

This year I got cheap and tried shoe goo. It is NOT the same stuff...LOL. It appeared the same...but it isn't. It cracks off and gets harder. BIG MISTAKE using shoe goo.

The repair on waders has to be at least somewhat supple or it will peel off or cut the material next to the edge of the patch.

Shoe goo is a hard, tough material intended to be able to take the abuse of being used on the bottom of a shoe.

Shoe goo gets very hard under certain conditions and on neoprene, it is going to hard enough to wear the material right next to the patch no matter what the conditions.

You need to use something which will stay soft enough to bend with the material instead of the material bending around it.

Aqua seal! Like TLC wrote, it's made for neoprene repair and stays flexable.

Look at any web site that sells scuba diving equipment. They sell special neoprene cement for repairing wet/dry suits, it is an instant and permanent patch and will not leak.
