Whats the weirdest thing you've found in the stomach of a critter?

What made me think of this? I skinned out a coyote last night and was pulling out the intestines and stomach after I was done taking the pelt off and the tummy was as LARGE as a bowling ball.
After cutting it open I counted no less than 20 whole moles and digested parts of others.
I'll take a pic tonight and post when I have time......its amazing how many she had caught/ate....it must have been in a few short hrs before getting caught.

Other than curiosity, why would you be pulling the intestines out of a skinned coyote?

My goal is to skin that critter with no blood and no mess.

When the first frost of the year hits, I have seen bellies plum full of grasshoppers. I figure the frost slows down the hoppers and they are easy pickins.
Coyote guts are so nasty, I usually dont look too close. Just cut them out and throw in a bag.

My dad was out hunting one night on a relative's farm and ran across an old dead cow. He didn't think anything about it until he thought he could hear something inside of it. Out of curiosity he kicked the dead cow only to see a possum run out of its butt. I suppose you could say the weirdest thing I've ever heard of being found inside a critter is a whole possum.

Cut open a cat stomach one time and it had an orange rubber balloon in it. The types used for birthday parties, etc. I was looking for goat or lamb hair/wool.

LETS GET IT ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I once kept records of coyote stomach contents over 100 coyotes. Thirty-seven of those coyotes had eaten muskrats and baby beaver that day and were caught at places where there was no water for miles. I really thought that was interesting, that so many favored that food to go that far out of their way to get it. Ace

i hear that a lot from trappers i talk to that they have good success using beaver and muskrat meat for bait i used dobbins beaver bait this year but i had a bad year all the way around so never realy gave it a honest to goodness good test hopeful to try it againnext year but i hear people tell me they can put coon carcass and beaver carcass in the same place and the coyotes will feed on the beaver and let the coon lay. i find that interesting wonder if they know the beaver has more nutrition or what?

Traprjo: I've never seen any animal that liked coon, it just is about as poor of a bait as one can use. Ace
