This isn't in very good condition but I'am impressed at how advanced the Diamond trap company was and how most of the "new" stuff isn't new except to those selling it! Would like to see a better example posted.---------Tom

I used to have many #21 and #21 1/2. I like Diamonds.
I think all I have left is a "NO 31 -Spiral Spring - Frame Jaw".
Very small trap.

An awful lot of trap designs were coming out during that time period. Must have been like the Dot-Com bubble for trap makers. Diamond, Triumph, Gibbs... All had a bunch of designs. Had to have been overwelming for the trapper buying new traps.

Diamond made some very neat and intriguing traps.

Another different Diamond trap you don't see many of them. They made the Diamond double long spring No.22 and this Diamond H-22 with the higher jaws. Haven't cleaned this one up yet but it looks like it will clean up nice.

I live 60 miles away from where they were made Norwich Wire Works Co. At one point in time they made more traps than any other company. # 25 traps were gin type made and sent to Austrailia.

The #15 is an odd trap. No different than a #3.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I recently purchased a bunch of trap from an older trapper. In the mix was diamond traps in the 1 or 1 2/1 with the same jaw design as the long spring posted above. Any idea on price range?

I live in the epicenter of old trap manufacturing!

Oneida NY is 10 miles away.......Norwich (Diamonds) is about 25 miles away......Cortland NY is 30 miles away........

And thanks to this site, I just found out about a trap company that actually was located in Cazenovia NY (where I live) that I'd never heard about.....

I have one of those Diamond #33's, and funny, when I first got it, thought the exact same thing: four coiled, offset, and wire levers that are actually also high levers!

Curious what a 33 in mint condition like shown here goes for....as I'd like to get one like that! Mine is in much better shape than the one Tom shows at the top, but alas, is welded in an OPEN position for display, but worthless otherwise!

MZ

PS: if someone has one like that, PM me!
