Is misting the only way to effectively control mosquito? (Arizona was wet this summer and I am getting eatn)

Different species have different habits and different ways to control. Some like vertical surfaces to rest on, others use vegetation like grass or shrubs. Some lay eggs in ponds others use small water like old tires.
