I have a 114 Oneida Community that appears to me to be authentic,but I wondered if there are any features I should look for. I hope to post pictures tommorrow. The pan is stamped,with the pat. Sept.26,11 date,there are no markings on the back of pan.I can find no other markings anywhere else on the trap. The chain is twist link (like ATC) and the swivels are smaller in size than the ones on the ATC 114 that I have.Thank you in advance for any input anyone can offer.

this pic shows the stamp that makes question the trap. The first 1 looks different from the second 1 to me, and there appears to be a semicircle under the numbers? Has anyone ever seen this?

ringtail, That's a beautiful No.114 O.C. trap. It's much harder to find than the later traps. I believe I've seen that circle before but, I can't remember where. Thanks for showing. Greg

Here is another 114 O.C. that also shows the round circle with the number 114 inside, the stamp for the number must have been struck a little harder then the rest of the lettering. I have 3 O.C. 114's and they all show the same round circle with the number, just common for that particular model I guess.

I was asked about this stamped pan 114 and said I would check into it. I can't tell from the pictures already posted but this one has a pan the same size as a #4. The cross is lighter metal, the panpost is smaller, and the swivels are the small ones like used on some Victor 3Ns. Any info will be appreciated and I'll pass it on....Dale

I have the circle too. I Never noticed it before. Very faint.

Here are two photos of a 114 Canadian Newhouse. Notice flat link chain and the oblong ring. The Canadian 114 Newhouse's that I've seen and I haven't seen many have had this ring and chain. Notice the photo of the bottom of the pan with Made in Canada stamped into the bottom of the pan.
