We usually pursue shrews outdoors! But for the first time we'll be chasing them indoors at a customer's home that has been tollerating them for more than 3 months (go figure! ). Naturally, we'll be searching for regular travel routes and possssible nesting spot. But how do we trap them with bait? That is, what kind of bait?

If you are going to use bait Shrews like meat. Insects make up the majority of their diet. Raw hamburger has worked well for me. This time of year I would be a little concerned with the smell of rotting bait.

Yes, we do have glue traps for that purpose. Just trying to keep as many options open as possible. Thanks Lundy!

I've caught hundreds of shrews in mouse traps baited with oatmeal and peanut butter. A little bacon grease works great too. You can also guide them into blind sets with 2x4s, boxes, or whatever else is handy.
