Call the insurance company and ask if there is a problem and find out first hand whats going on. But NO lets just run it up the internet so every one who don't like anything can chime in with their boat load of crap.
I guess you missed the part where the OP said...
I called them and was told they had 700 policies to mail out...
From what I thought this was from last year not this year. Getting a certificate of insurance is as good as having the policy in hand. I have two companies that I run and in both cases I need to show clients I am insured. I work for some of the biggest power companies in the NE (including your state) and also state agencies and both accept email certificates by email and I am fine. I also fly balloons commercially and the biggest festival in the east coast also accepts ins. the same way. He also said he got something in the mail or by email (like a certificate of insurance) is all that is needed. Getting the policy later is fine.
Sorry Don but paying for a product/service and not receiving it in over two months is unacceptable.
I think I answered this above
Is that how you treat your customers?
I see to it my clients get what they need, not always what they think they need. My clients are very happy with our service and that way we provide it.
I paid my bill on time and should expect to get my policy on time.
That's not a lot to ask.
Seeing to it your client have what they need to conduct business is good business. You do not need the policy in hand, you just need to show yoour insured. You want it because you think you need it, you don't. So they did provide you with good service if you have the certificate in hand. Not sure of how long you have been in business but over 30 years of success tells me I know what I am talking about. I also would like to say Christian Baker is my provider and has saved me thousands in un-needed costs by showing my clients that some of what they ask for is out of line. My clients have been very happy with what we provide for coverage.
I stand by my first post.
Don LaFountain.
