Broccoli has been found for our experiences to do the best job. Its color, and resistance to drying out and holding its basic form and color will enable it to last for weeks if necessary. With good bait and lure presentation its ready for action for a considerable period of time. Particularly when dealing with nomadic animals that dont live on site of the hired property owner. They just come there to feed and cause havoc to the neighbor. I have had sets left for two plus weeks before capturing the animal without any more dressing up of the set.

I use fake flowers at just about every trap for hogs and sometimes I use them for coon.

a stalk of broccoli hung on a wire upside down is what we use on woodchucks along with a trailing scent and a food lure. its almost fool proof. apples and pears have worked well at times too. both hung from the top of the cage.
