Well I'm trying my hand to maybe make a little extra cash with the explosion of the mole population near and around me! People are always complaining about the moles. So I figured I'd give it a a try. What should I charge, say per yard?

How much do you need to make to cover your liability insurance?

None. I'm just doing it out of my garage. I'm only 15.

Are you proficient at catching them? I bought a mole dvd and a dz nomol traps from WCS to get started. For practice I trapped my inlaws, neighbors and relatives yards for free. They have zero mole problems now. No one can tell you what to charge but yourself. But people are more willing to pay someone, regardless of age, that has got some experience.

Good to see the entrepreneurial spirit alive! What do you think your time is worth? And, what equipment do your need to buy and periodically replace?

Figure out how much it cost you to trap and how much per hour you want to make, multiple that by the estimated time on each job.

I was going to pick one up and get good at it by getting them out of y yard and a neighbors. Then advertise that I can get them out of other peoples yards. I was going to charge a $20 fee for up to and including 4 moles out of the yard then for every 4 moles after that I'll charge $10. What do you guys think about that?

Sounds like a plan.

Plan your work and work your plan. That is the only way you can give a good estimate. Try and do everyone the same.
You can have a set up fee, with per/mole charge with millage. The set up fee will change with every job because of size of yard, amount of damage, age of damage, is it on a hill side, lots of flower gardens, wood chips ets. Per mole charge and millage should be the same for everyone. People will let you work for fee all day long. JMO
