Anyone got any photo's of skunk scat? I set up a property today and the guy showed me some scat that was in his old garage. Was about pencil size thickness and tapered on both ends. Maybe 2 or 3 inches long and in small piles. Was definitely fresh and the garage had that old (weak) once sprayed skunk smell. He has cats, but this scat was on the garage floor (concrete) and there was nothing used to try to cover the scat. There are definitely skunks in the area as I found several dig spots in and around the yard.

I don't have shots that are easy to post, but what you describe is a reasonable description of them.

If you take them out in good light you should be able to see glossy pieces of insect in them. Wings, shells, etc.

Just because something is legal doesn't make it smart.

Good tip ADC,

Ours are grubbing not only grubs but eating lots of ten lined June bugs and grasshoppers etc... right now, saw some this week that was shiny and also a good amount of berry seeds.

Of course for fun I should say the taste test is the real proof!

(We are talkin scat right, good place for some levity!)

Well I caught a young skunk today, but the owner had already cleaned up the scat. He let his dog out when I got there, you probably know the rest. He will have to deal with the smell. I was able to strap the transport box to the top of my wife's Durango so I didn't have to worry to much about the scent. My buddy even let me drop them (2 coon and ground hog from two other jobs) off at his house so I didn't have to bring them home. Was a good day considering.
