I want to store some onions, but I don't have a root cellar. I do have a basement that has a garage on one side. its 2/3 underground. no windows, and the inside a/c unit keeps it about 68 on the hot days. its not heated, never freezes, and is dry. Will it work?

Should work just fine. My mother and grandmother would braid the onion tops and hang on a nail. There would be 20-40 onions in a string. Good luck!

If you don't agree with me that is fine.

Arguing over the internet is pointless!

Thanks, They are outside drying until the green goes out of the tops, then into the basement.
